Pastors
Pastor Vince Bantu
Pastah Vince was born and raised in St. Louis and got saved when he was in elementary school. From the jump, Pastor Vince had a heart for sharing the Gospel in his school and on the block. Pastah V received the call to pastor when he was in high school and left St. Louis to study the Bible. Pastah V met his wife Diana in Bible college and they had their two daughters Taina and Naniki while he was finishing his doctorate. They came back to the Lou to share the Gospel and partner with the community to testify to the shalom of Jesus in the hood. Pastah V also teaches at the Meachum School of Haymanot and at Fuller Theological Seminary. Pastah V and his family love movies, traveling and bustin’ spades. Pastor Diana Bantu
Pastor Diana Bantu is from Elizabeth NJ, and was saved as a teenager. Originally pursuing Spanish secondary education, Diana has had a history and love for teaching. Once she went to college and met her future husband Vince, she felt a joint calling to pursue further theological education and serve the beloved community modeled in Acts 2. Pastor Diana homeschools their two daughters, and serves as co-pastor. She loves traveling, movies, and throwing down in the kitchen with her Puerto Rican food. Elders
Elder Kyanna White
Elder Kyanna is a strong believer in Christ. She grew up in the North Side of St. Louis. She gave her life to Christ and got baptized at the age of 7. She has a passion for praise dancing and discipling youth. She loves spending time with her parents, siblings and nieces/nephews. Kyanna's heart's desire is to honor Jesus in all her ways.
Elder Darnell (Chip) Whitt
Elder Chip is a testament that the LORD is more than good, He's great. Since he's been walking with the LORD, he has been finding peace and love and can honestly say there's no BELOVED COMMUNITY like this. We welcome all who seek God. He is honored to do His work. Elder Chip lives with his wife and children in St. Louis and loves to serve in the youth ministry and My Father's Business ministries of the church.
Deacons
Deacon Terry Williams
Terry Williams is the Deacon of Translation. He gave his life to Christ in 1989. He is a dedicated teacher with a strong concern & compassion for children. He has a passion for bringing different cultures and language groups together in Christ.
Deacon Lee Campbell
Lee Campbell is the Deacon of Missions. He became a believer in Christ about 1980 as a long time friend led him in the sinner’s prayer for salvation. He has spent many years coming closer to The Lord and plans to continue this journey until he goes home to heaven. Lee has been married to Carol since 1976. They have three children and three grandchildren. Lee is a retired journeyman plumber. He has been coaching boxing for over 30 years. He enjoys exercising, reading and writing.
Deacon Lashonda Flood
Lashonda Flood is the Deacon of Worship at Beloved Community Church, where she leads with a deep love for both worship and justice. After being saved and filled with the Holy Spirit in July of 1999, Lashonda has been committed to serving those on the margins, carrying a special burden for the oppressed and overlooked. She believes worship is not just music but a powerful tool to break chains and bring people closer to God. Her heart is for creating a space where everyone—no matter their background—can experience the transformative power of God's love and presence.
Deacon Carrie Burgett
Carrie was born and raised in a small town in upstate New York. She accepted Jesus in college and a few years later followed God's call to live and teach in the city. She has been a special education teacher for 19 years. She continues to advocate for equity and justice in her school, where she lives and with Beloved Community Church. She handles all things with technology as the Deacon of Communication. She has been in St. Louis the past 10 years and is looking forward to many more years here learning, growing and serving Jesus. She loves to travel, play games and watch movies.
Deacon Gail Whitt
Gail grew up going to church in St. Louis. She started following Jesus at a young age during elementary school. Her passion is singing worship songs. She is excited to serve the Lord as Deacon of Finance. She enjoys spending time with her family and loves to cook.
