Core Values:   

1 - Gospel: Beloved Community Church is centered around the reality that through the incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection and reign of Jesus Christ, humanity is now able to flourish in God's original plan to be in right fellowship with Him and with one another.  Beloved Community Church is called to orient all aspects of our lives around the Good News of Jesus Christ in our lifestyle, belief, worship and relationships.  We are committed to actively proclaiming the Gospel and inviting others to give their lives to Christ. 

2 - Scripture: Beloved Community Church holds that the Word of God - both the Old and New Testaments - is divinely-inspired, perfect in all it teaches and authoritative over every aspect of our lives. The study, proclamation and application of Scripture is at the center of our gatherings, government, fellowship and outreach.  

3 - Sanctification: Beloved Community Church is called to testify to the holiness of God in our lifestyles. Through the power of the Gospel, we are empowered to live in increasing victory over sinful desires and habits. All sinful actions and thoughts are equally fallen in the sense that they separate us from the Lord yet different in that some bring a stronger reaction and more severe consequences from the Lord than others. Church leadership and membership must maintain an atmosphere of grace, confession, safety and accountability. Believers are called to pursue holiness and encourage family in Christ to do the same in all areas of life.  

4 - Family: Beloved Community Church seeks to be a small, intimate family of believers who share in all aspects of life with one another through regular worship, fellowship, intimacy and sharing resources. We strongly embrace the priesthood of all believers and place emphasis on the ministry leadership of each saint. Rather than placing emphasis on particular leaders, financial resources or institutional identity, Beloved Community Church emphasizes fellowship and loving service to our community. Beloved Community Church is committed to planting small, intimate churches throughout our region and the world.  

5 – Reconciliation: Beloved Community Church seeks to intentionally embrace and reflect the beautiful diversity of our community in terms of gender, race, ethnicity and social class. We understand and celebrate every one of our cultural identities as part of the Lord’s plan yet we prioritize the cultures of those among us experiencing greater marginalization.  

6 - Justice: Beloved Community Church embraces the biblical call to pray and strive for social justice in society and creation. We commit to living justly and working towards the empowerment of the poor and oppressed. We commit to confronting systems of injustice and giving to those in need. We commit to doing all aspects of church life in a way that prioritizes the leadership and culture of the marginalized. Beloved Community Church commits to using its financial, social and human resources primarily for the empowerment of the oppressed in our community and around the world. We commit to using our resources and partnering with community organizations to empower our community unto financial and social equity.  

7 - Worship: Beloved Community Church embraces the biblical call to worship the Lord regularly as individuals, families and as a church body. Through musical worship, the Lord’s Supper, baptism and spiritual disciplines, we commit to living lifestyles of worship, lament and celebration centered on the goodness and power of the Lord. We commit to an individual and communal lifestyle of prayer, confession, supplication and thanksgiving.
